MANDREL BENDING

Mandrel bending process prevents pipe deformation when bending a tight radius, thus, keeps a round shape in the bend . Pipes are supported internally and externally during bending keeping constant radius throughout. Flow area remains consistent, increasing flow more than 30% compared to stock or crash bent pipes.

Not every muffler shop offers mandrel bending simply because the equipment & tooling required to mandrel bend tubing is very expensive.
